The Official Liverpool Thread - Part 2

Mane has been a brilliant signing. Among the best there is with the main competition coming from other Klopp signings like Salah and Van Dijk.

Mane started it all though. He was the first real Klopp type player. Carried us to CL places which enabled Klopp to further build his team. He owes the club nothing and vice versa.

The club has a way of operating and it’s hard to not respect it given how well they’ve competed under Klopp. Salah will follow suit for nothing next season as a result. The front 3 had to evolve sometime. The pressure is on others to step up.

Really sad to see Mané move on. He arrived with a bang and, across 6 seasons, he performed at ab exceptionally high level. One of the best attacking players to ever pull on the red shirt.

Bayern are getting a hell of a player for the fee and, for how good he's been at Liverpool, Mané well deserves a serious payday.

The fee is in the ballpark of what you'd accept for a guy who has been a huge part of Klopp's success - and in part I think Liverpool are not playing hardball out of respect for Mané's contribution.

Spot on Philby, one of the very best. Bayern are usually pretty shrewd, £35M for a thirty year old with only twelve months left on his contract tells you a lot. He will be sorely missed, drove Liverpool on in the last 6 months in games where they had lots of possession but no cutting edge.
