This really should not be a consideration when it comes to sentencing in a case like this.

A person in a position of power should get a bigger sentence in my humble opinion.

Not at all but I understand the simple concept of hiring a solicitor and what his job is then and I also understand that judges hand down sentences not solicitors.

They are influenced by gardai/politicians in many cases. The majority of them are one big corrupt clique.

I'm telling you two simple facts, try follow now and you might understand.
A solicitor is hired to get defend their client and try get them off or at least a lesser sentence if convicted.
The Judge passes down that sentence.
If you don't like a sentence that was passed, then the judge should be the subject of your anger.
