no surprises I suppose

Don't know how Cian Prendergast keeps making squads

Healy,Herring,POM,Murray,Aki along for another six naitons. Not sure what this achieves but here we are and it would be nice to be first team to win 3 in a row.

24 Leinster players, 7 Connacht players, 5 Munster players and 4 Ulster players.

Jack Boyle has played a total of 643 minutes of professional rugby and James McNabey 766.

That, of course pales in comparison to the laughable 87 minutes of professional rugby Hugh Cooney has played.

100%.

That said, it's probably why Ireland are now opting to pick utterly inexperienced props and centres to mitigate the complete failure to develop alternatives over the past 5 years.

I suppose in their defence, those alternatives didn't play for Leinster, so they really weren't viable alternatives.

Easterby is clearly just doing what he's told.

I could spend ages going through the issues with that.
Yeah. There's no point. At this stage, I am looking forward to seeing it all come crashing down. What I'm less sure of is that the IRFU will realise what an unholy balls of it they've allowed to happen. That being said, neither the Munster nor Ulster suits are without blame.

I'm going to one of the away games, so I'll support them 100%, as ever, but I feel·less and less like they are my team.

Exactly that. You want to think that the pinnacle is an international team and that good performances are rewarded.
It just becomes horribly boring now. It's a closed shop.

Lads being picked with no gametime, Henderson doing nothing, Prendergast doing nothing. Hodnett was scoring two tries down in France whilst Baird was playing for UCD. Tom Farrell makes the step up to Munster and thrives, gets nothing.

Never been less interested in Irish rugby for a 6 Nations.

And i'd rather watch a couple of grannies reenacting two girls one cup than attend an Irish rugby match in the Aviva alongside a collection of the worst human beings from Dublin's high society.

Anyone else here not bothered whatsoever if Ireland get embarrassed in this 6N?

Reading the comments on the team announcement on the IRFU Facebook there, and it is absolute poison. Leinster vs everyone else. "Not our fault we have the best players, dry your eyes" etc.

We don't have a national team anymore, we have a Leinster team who occasionally wears green and plays international matches.

Of the 5 Munster players, how many will actually start in the big games?

Nash? No
Murray? No
Crowley? His name isn't Sam Prendegast, so no
POM - maybe?

So just Beirne really.

It'll be minimum 10 Leinster starters plus Hansen, Bundee, Beirne, and....?

And you could argue that we have to pick our best team and it just so happens that our best team happen to all play for the same province. Surely that should be setting off alarm bells somewhere in the IRFU?

And our "best team" is excluding Barrett and Snyman.

The level of imbalance in Irish rugby is well, well beyond a joke. Fuck Leinster and fuck the IRFU.
