The Official Irish Rugby Thread

The real turning point was when SF/IRA blew up the Judge and his wife and injuring three Irish/Ulster players in the process. Then the joke of the Rose of Tralee at the first WC
Don't forget the ban, which really didn't enamour the rugby community with republicanism.

The hostility to rugby didn't end with the ban, despite it being a major international sport with all island representation. You'd have thought republicans would have appreciated that but absolutely not.

Eng - Aus is a bit easier on the eye than last night's game.
Australia definitely starting to move in a better direction.
Ireland will need their shit together for them.

Suaali is standing out already.

That's as bad a performance from Ireland that I can remember over the last few years.
Mistakes everywhere, players, coaches, captain.
They found some amount of ways to get in their own ways.
Against a very very bang average NZ Team.

The subs killed the game too.

Can we now all agree that POM, Healy and Henderson can be sent away now?
We all know Healy needs another cap and he'll get it but let's see some new faces in the team across the next 3 games not just 7 new caps against Fiji.
These 3 lads should be nowhere near the squad for the fiji game and id even argue the argentina and Australia games but we'll be lucky to get 2-3 new caps given out in the next 3 weekends. Meanwhile the aussies pick a lad who had never played a professional game of Union

And NZ's best player over their 2 games is they young fella Sotiti in the back row.

The next 3 games won't be as easy as first thought.
