Listened to the interview last night, there is something odd going on here, both the Dorce and Fiona Hayes were implying that there is more to him not being selected but stopped short of saying what.

John Cooney has every right to feel aggrieved with his Irish situation and look abroad to Scotland for his international future.

Cooney had more of a case a few seasons back. Even then though he was absolutely flying for 3 or 4 seasons and wasn't getting a look in. Usually had the same opportunity as McCloskey, a throwaway game against a Tier 2 team with a far from full strength Irish side.

But then when Joe picked the likes of McGrath he was paid back with good performances.

I hope he didn't turn down lucrative money in France (he's their ideal 9) to stay and try to win caps. Even aside from that he has every right to feel aggrieved.

Won't be the first 9 fucked over internationally, Stringer finished 2 caps short of a 100 which is downright disgraceful.

yeah DOC was no where near a 6. Too much of a donkey for the back row Great second row but had no skills at all. On a side note he is making some show of himself on that radio show with the garrihy one and some other ape I've never heard of. I saw a few clips of them on instagram. Embarrassing stuff!
