It would have been no harm at all, ensure nobody gets too carried away.


Biggest positive from this game for me was Jack Crowley looked like he belonged there. Not amazing, but good enough, a solid performance. Which is great considering the context.

Thought Casey did well when he came on after JGP had a very shaky game with some awful kicking and decison making

Jimmy o Brien didnt really do anything better than Balacoune

Doris the only one of the pack who can hold his head high

VDF gets shown up when an opposition team has all the possession. No turnover threat from him at all. Beirne and POM without a sniff of a turnover either which is worrying

Fair enough he probably had a couple. To be honest I was watching in a pub and find it hard to take a game in properly especially as id been there since 4pm

Our defence was good when the aussies had all that possession and territory but i suppose without a proper specialist 7 we don't get many turnovers in those situations

Yeah Beirne had a couple I think, POM was quiet and as said so was VdF. Doris was better but still a long way from his previous heights, another penalty given away when he was clearly offside and still decided Ron get involved in play, O’Keeffe was clear all night telling players when they were off and he still gave one away.

I think Bealham had another sound game when he came on, very much low key and under the radar but he put in some big hits.

JGP is inconsistent in games never mind form in general. One clever read and big tackle, then steps his foot on the line at a ruck. annoyingly Doak wasn’t looked at as JGP, Murray, and Casey are known elements.
