The Official Golf Thread

Here are my picks.

I might also sprinkle a few more longer odds 'back to lay' options in the Winner market.

I've employed the "top right" philosophy and backed MacIntyre and Rai on the nose to win, at massive prices.

I fully expect to win.

Decent start. 4th and 9th respectively.

CASH OUT NOW YOU NUTTER!!

FWIW I have a vague anecdotal feeling that Rai has a tendency to start well in high-class events but often tails off.

Overall it was a fairly underwhelming first round for the big names, but there's not a lot of quality in the top 20 after round 1 so you could see a fairly swift separation of wheat from chaff today & tomorrow, with a fair few big names well within striking distance.

Matt Fitzpatrick -3
Hatton -3
Scheffler -2
Hovland -2
Fleetwood -1
Morikawa -1
Rahm -1
Aberg -1
Bryson E
Xander / Hideki / Reed +1

Rory has form for recovering from bad first rounds but giving up 5 shots to Scheffler in round 1 is borderline fatal.

Sorry to derail from the PGA championship discussion and not sure is this the correct place to ask but does anyone have any recommendations for golf lessons in Cork? TIA
