Sweet suffering Christ Mattie, can you not see any issues with your own crowd and how ye are well able to go down and dirty, sometimes worse than the scum your lot defend

Do you not understand that if there is a legal obligation on lawyers to get counselling notes as part of a defence case then they have to do it? It is malpractice for them not to do so. The use of notes needs to be outlawed.

I note you didn't answer my question as to what you have done in relation to the campaign to have the use of counselling notes banned?

What about the people who suffered childhood trauma and did not break the law?
I have no sympathy whatsoever for anyone in prison, it is hard enough to be sentenced by a court to get into one so it takes a lot of offending.
There are victims of course, let's not forget about them, the people who did no wrong and expect the law, the court system to have their corner, which in many cases are badly left down.

Matlock is correct in terms of obligations. I've had to submit notes myself.
Those who groom children are manipulative clever unscrupulous bastards and will do anything to control the narrative.
My friend is on the prisons committee (a fantastic woman in her late 70s), and said the arrogance of the sex offenders is frightening.

I am over 30 years dealing with children's mental health and trauma.

Regardless of any thoughts on faults of professions, systems, etc, we as a people do not protect the welfare of children with enough strength and gusto.

They are the most vulnerable group in terms of how their future is shaped.

The overcrowding in prisons is by a large degree down to adults who suffered childhood trauma. Not an excuse for their offending, but a factor.

Every move in any case or investigation involving a child should be determined by how it will affect the child, both now and in the future. Everyone involved should keep that front and centre.

It's not the monsters on the street that damage children, it's mostly those that are supposed to be their protectors.
