The official Cork and Irish Basketball thread.

How long will it be before the whole league goes bust. Teams paying Europeans, Americans, coaches and even some Irish players good money. Won’t be long before the league goes under in my opinion. Sligo, Maree and Kilorglin breaking the bank and have zero home grown talent on their squads. Neptune and demons spending money. Ballincollig brought in 4 players and a Spanish coach.

Ballincollig ,demons ,Neptune ,crowds be cheering but no team with any u20 players from last yr bar one with demons, one player from the 3 clubs ,it's maaaad

U18 Michael heffernan 2 weeks ago ,Limerick V eanna, cork organising these for other counties to win, hopefully cork teams start winning these again in the not to distant future....

Ballincollig looked shocking at the weekend. Their Americans are below par, looks like fellas haven’t bought in to the new system. Could all end in tears out there in MTU. From watching them in preseason I think the coach is wanting players to adapt to his system than vice versa. Ballincollig have a gauntlet fixture list coming up. They will have a new coach and yanks by the first round of the cup!! Neptune had a good win but shouldn’t be getting too carried away as they shot the lights out from 3 and Star were minus Fields. Demons undisciplined and leaderless at the moment. Won’t be Long before Hosford will need to come back and steady the ship. They have some talented players but don’t have a facilitator. Brunell will be in relegation form till Thornton comes back in the new year and she will keep them up. Glanmire looked poor but will be in the mix to win a trophy. Matthews big win but mid table at best. Blount couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn in his debut. Wonder how long they will put up with his shenanigans down there, we all know it won’t be his fault when it goes Boobies up!!

Neptune looked v good ,Darragh is a huge addition, they played as a team should play , ballincollig look poor alright and demons without Seventh,Kyle, Beckom and Tala will definitely be weaker....Look early days yet I suppose 🫡
