Thought Starfelt was impressive tonight - snuffed out a lot of the Buddies' aerial and physical threat though one of his cross-field passes was suicidal. Hart pulled off a couple of top top notch saves too.

Disappointed with the loss of form of O'Riley but we've enough players firing to overwhelm most domestic opposition. JJ was much better at left back tonight but still not as good as Taylor who's said to be out til the end of the month. Feel a bit sorry for Ralston. Had come into a great game but this new lad Johnston looks the business.

New guy Kobayashi (sp?) looked adequate. Will have to see more of him but a decent start.

I saw Hearts were 4-0 up on the Dons by halftime. The sheep don't like travelling.

And ironically, St Johnston's all-weather plastic pitch was unplayable tonight while matches went ahead on grass pitches at Parkhead and Tynecastle

Starfelt far happier on the right side. He had a good game apart from one lazy pass that caused a bit of bother.

Hart made two absolutely wonderful saves.

I'm just looking at the St Mirren offside goal again. JJ did brilliantly to get out. McGregor was a bit lucky.

The pitch looks shite.

I seen the highlights of the Hearts match. They get almost as many decisions as the vermin. Tbf, scales did have his arm out when the ball struck it.... but we've seen lots of examples where that's boy given.

Who were St Johnstone playing tonight?

Soz, meant Livi. Don't know why I wrote St Johnstone (another plastic pitch venue). They were due to play DU and the game got the go ahead in the afternoon inspection with a local ref apparently despite the cold. Either end of the M8 matches went ahead on grass pitches but Livi on the plastic in between got called off just about an hour and a half before kickoff which was hard on the DU fans who'd travelled down midweek. Apparently the issue was in the goal areas of the pitch. At least that's what they said on Clyde 1

It was Livi, they have no under surface heating or it doesn't work or something. Tynecastle and Parkhead have.
