The Official Celtic Thread

Just got sent the opening part of the fixture list

The Flag is Monday Aug 3 at 7:30PM v Dundee
Sun Aug 9 away to Killie at 1:30
Sat Aug 22 away to St Johnstone at 3
Sat Aug 29 Home to Falkirk at 3
Wed Sept 2 Home to the Dons at 7:45

Celtic conceded an 88 minute lead yesterday against Shels, but Yamada got a late late equaliser.

Whatever about Celtic being below par, at least they keep going right to the final whistle

A nice wee run out. I had half an eye on the Argentina game while this was on.

Maloney doing all the talking in the hydration break. Mon having a wee snooze.

Think even first time around MON was hands off when it came to the coaching. Hopefully things will go well for us again this season and at that stage maybe Maloney will have done enough to take over the reins. I didn't fancy him when his name was mentioned early last season but he seems to have been very much to the fore under MON. Manager is a step up I know but two seasons under the belt as head coach, an amount of assistant manager experience, and a former player, I think he'd be worth the shortlist at least.

Bloody hell - that's early. I know Scottish football starts back a bit earlier than England, etc but I'd say they'd hardly time to clean their boots since last season ended!

Last season's league finished v Hearts on 16th of May with the Cup Final on the 23rd of May. Next pre-season friendly is away in Portugal next Tuesday (14th) v Sporting. Pity they've not signed much. The first competitive league match is on the 31st of July, but for Celtic it'll be at home for the flag on 3rd of August v Dundee,
