I think I can see a problem.

There's nobody at Celtic who knows how to run a modern, progressive football club. Even with good intentions, there's nobody at the club capable of delivering the backing a new manager deserves.

Desmond is a vicious bastard. I read Matt Coopers book about the rise and fall of Tony O Reilly and DD comes up in it regularly.

He’s a ruthless bully and will take great pleasure in destroying anyone he sees as a threat.

Rogers is a moron but DD is a bad egg. There’s a mythology about Desmond, McManus and Magnier in this country.

They’ve gotten serious help from a succession of governments in getting to billionaire status.

They’ve bullied their way to infinite wealth and influence and haven’t given a fraction back to the country that facilitated it

Every time I see Desmond mentioned anywhere I chuckle thinking of the billionaire in America that put him on his arse.

But is it a coach we need - I think it's a manager that's required for the job tbh. This "I only deal with the players on the training pitch" doesn't tend to work well in Glasgow. Look at the likes of Beale, Clement, and Martin over on the other side. We need a larger than life figure who can deal with the media, he can then appoint a coach(s) to take care of the day-to-day training.
