Another shite performance apart from a bit of urgency late on.
Really happy for Balikwisha to get an assist. Maeda too... who was poor on the right, better on the left and showed how to pun across a defender when in as a striker.
things like a late winner can be a platform for performances to improve.
The ref was an irritation all day long. A lad hanging off Daizen... play on... when the ball eventually went dead, no yellow. Shit like that is so irritating.
Motherwell unlucky to comcede a penalty, so were Celtic. Both correct awards... just unfortunate for both teams.
Only this time the fans aren't locked out of the stadium.
Of course Celtic should still have enough about them to compete with Dundee. But there's some serious underlying issues here.
There's nobody at Celtic that knows anything about running a well run football club. The manager can work when he has the right tools... otherwise.... forget about it.
A lot better performance in a competition the club doesnt give a fuck about.
A heavy price paid for the win with Iheanacho off within a minute. AJ shortly afterwards.... CCV struggled off at ths end with McGregor shipping a fairly dirty knock.
The two goals came from corners but we created a lot more than that from open play. Nygren guilty of missing lots of chances.
Scales would certainly get my vote for POTS so far. Nygren is a bit of an enigma. Doesn't have the speed or close control of a good winger, nor the finishing of a striker, but he does work hard and never hides. He could have had a hattrick last night no bother but their keeper pulled off a couple of great saves and a couple he knew little about.
Didn't think the red card should have been red til I saw it from another angle.
I hope I'm very wrong about Kenny but while he'll run all day for you, get into great positions, from what I've seen at this level he "couldn't finish his dinner"
Lots of injuries and we're already facing a huge task away to Hertz. I'd take a draw at this stage. If they go 8 points clear even getting in a quality striker and winger (if our board allow a manager in his last few months buy in top players) in January mightn't be enough
Could be under pressure from injuries for the semi-final the following week too
