The Official Celtic Thread

Celtic Weemin win the cup after a dominant display against the Verminettes. The Hunettes were completely outclassed from start to finish. Two second half goals from Flint and O'Riordan enough to bring the cup home. Celtic really have to do something to keep Natasha Flint. Quiet enough today but a superb player. She seemed to be loving the celebrations yesterday too.

Budd who is connected to some big profile Celtic fans reckons Ange could well be leaving this summer after all 😔

Alas it's looking more and more likely with Spuz having Ange as top of their wish list. It'd be a big blow to Celtic if he leaves this summer as he's shown himself to be a great manager and shopper in the markets where we shop - not sure that would translate so readily to Spuz but maybe he can upscale it.

There's even some talk of Brendan Rodgers being lined up as a replacement his having been a guest of Willie Haughey at Celtic Park a few weeks back. Such was the way he left us he would not be universally welcomed back were that to pan out but it's all still only conjecture at the moment.

First and foremost the vital thing is that we win the Cup Final on Saturday - I'd bite yer hand off for a towsy 1-0 extra-time completion of a Celtic Treble right now. Hopefully all of the news froth surrounding Ange doesn't distract from the important job Celtic have on the pitch on Saturday.

Ange did a twitter Q&A thing yesterday where the last question was about next years CL.... It seems a strange thing to be doing with all the rumours about the place.

I'd find it hard to begrudge him leaving. The circumstances are not the same as BR which would soften the blow somewhat.

I can only reiterate what I said before about Ange.... good fit for Spurs... if they'd give him the time.... but they won't.... so that makes it a bad fit.

I hope you are right. The whole conference speaks of a man who is focused on the thing he should be focused on:
I don't like this chat at all... I propose we ignore it and hope it goes away. I'm scared of losing him :(

A friend is quoted on twitter as saying he wants to build a legacy at Celtic.
And there are trebles to be won - at least 9 more of them ;)

I don't think it is as remotely a runner as some are making of it.

If by "it" you mean Ange leaving then I sincerely hope you are right.

I'm not saying he's the best manager in the world, Europe, or even in britan, but he is a perfect fit for Celtic at the moment.

But if you listen to Scottish sports radio like Clyde Super Score Board and read the football media in Scotland, and indeed some down south, there was a lot of talk of Ange leaving.

The Conspiracy Theorists had it that Levy, who allegedly has a company interest in a corporate box at ibrox, was trying to unsettle Ange leading up to the cup final when, if Celtic manage to win it, we'd overtake the old Rangers FC in terms of trophies won (despite their fans claiming they're "the most successful club in the WORLD" :ROFLMAO: - hopefully soon they won't even be the most successful club in Scotland , and become the first club in the world to win 8 domestic Trebles* apparently.

* I'm told that a lot of FAs don't have three domestic trophy comps

I don't know what a celtic manager earns but in the Premier league he would be getting 10mill a year or thereabouts. Money always talks sadly rebelbhoy.

BR left for £8m which was well above what he was on at Celtic.

Yes, money talks.

Lots of thoughts swimming around my head about Ange the man.... particularly about how he might feel sat on his backside in 6 months time collecting his wage after being jettisoned by an impatient Spurs.

I don't know that's for him, no matter how much money is at stake... but we are also talking about a guy who would back himself for that not to happen.

Soundy referenced Ange being a perfect fit for Celtic..... He would be for Spurs too if they would give him time.... and they won't....so that makes it a poor fit.

Hope he stays at the bhoys so it's a wait and see . Spurs fans are moaning like fcuk on social media as they don't want him but a lot of that is ignorance about the man himself and scotish football. Very hard when someone' offers to quadruple your wages though.
