The Official Celtic Thread

5-0 to the Hoops. 2 overhead kicks. 2 goals from a centre half (both with Lafferty miles off his man) and a worldie strike.... All on an absolute monstrosity of a pitch. Greg Taylor given MOTM. Another really good performance from him. He's become undeniable I fairness to him. 0-1 Kyogo https://streamable.com/bjskgr 0-2 Jota https://streamable.com/6z22ep 0-3 Jenz https://streamable.com/arac0f 0-4 Starfelt https://streamable.com/dkqxuc 0-5 Double G https://streamable.com/4lzmll

The inverted full-back position is really suiting Greg Taylor. Interesting to hear Monster Munch say that Taylor used to play as a midfielder at Killie before being pressed into service as a Left Full. Really working out for the lad at the moment. Easily our most improved player so far. And this guy Jenz is looking like a real player too. Hart had almost nothing to do but one still feels nervous when the ball flashes across our box.

Thoguht their keeper should've done better for Jota's goal but all in all we had a great day at the office.

Brilliant interview before the game "So Ange, difficult surface, will your players be playing their way into the game for the first 20 minutes?"
"No mate, we'll go at them and attack from teh start" owtte.

And Kyogo with his first touch put the ball in the corner of the net after just 7 minutes.

Pity Killie cut off their nose to spite their face and restricted the number of away fans. There were huuuuuge gaps amongst the home support.

With the huns playing before us and racking up 4 at home there was extra pressure on us but we rose ot it well and scored 5.

Huns playing before us again next weekend.🤷‍♂️

I see your fixation on me continues Earl

Meant to say I thought Lafferty was extremely lucky to stay on the park. Used his elbows a couple of times, and he knew rightly what he was doing when he left his foot in on Jenz's groin in the first half. I think he was getting more and more frustrated and was taking it out more and more on his opponents and indeed the ref, who finally booked him.

Good victory for Celtic today. 2-0

Celtic excellent in the first half but were unable to turn the dominance into goals. It felt a little nervy at times in the second half. Hearts created very little and none of the marginal calls went for Celtic.

Hearts ended up with 2 lads sent off late on for second bookable offences. They can have absolutely no complaints about any of the yellows meted out.

GG with a very late goal to seal it reflected Celtic's dominance a little better. JJ probably motm.

Except their manager went straight for it in the post match interview. Some huns in the media are even calling for a review of Collum, who sent two of the TRFC players off and Hibs scored an injury time equaliser against 9 men; and Clancy who had the gall to hand out 7 cards including two red. Both reds (second yellows) were as stonewall as you could see but Neilson wasn't having it. His team didn't have an effort on target in 90+ minutes, had less than a third of the possession but still wants to try deflect the blame to the ref for the loss. Even had there been no cards in the game the very best they could've hoped for was a draw, and that wasn't going to happen after Celtic scored the opener in the 14th minute.

The only Celtic player that might have been carded was Calmac with what looked like a tactical foul around the centre-circle but that might have been harsh.

Jota was my motm.
