0-2 defeat today to Lincoln, Bolton losing at home to Wymcobe means Cardiff should keep a nice gap to 3rd place. edit Bolton came back to win 3-2, so 8 points behind Cardiff (with an extra game played), Bradford a further three back.
Cardiff in a poor run now, only one win and two home defeats in last four. Teams below havent really taken advantage as still a 10 pt gap. View attachment 48690
another poor showing today, 0-0 at home v Blackpool(who are in the relegation zone), allows Lincoln to escape-they are now 7 clear at the top and look cert to get to Tier 2 for the first time since the 1960s. Ends up being an ok result for Cardiff, from a promotion viewpoint, in that the teams in 3rd and 4th both lost so Cardiff increase the gap to 11 points with 7 matches left.
Should still get promoted but the wheels have come off. Wins and goals have dried up. They’ve been playing a false number 9 for weeks and teams have worked them out.
