I moved away from red wine some years ago but wine aholic friends are coming to dinner at the weekend and we'll need to stock up. So I'm looking for recommendations for a full bodied red >= 13.5% in the Shiraz/Syrah style, that is currently on sale for a very competitive price My favourite previously were the McPherson's Full Fifteen.

Go into SuperValu - they have a Spanish wine sale at the moment. Pick up a bottle of Marques de Caceres Gran Reserva for €15, that’s about a tenner off. - you won’t beat that for value.. beautiful drop
