There is a good slate of indoor meets on this weekend. Not much Irish interest but the real kickoff to the indoor season is here both in Europe and in the US Karlsruhe indoor is a WA gold meet. Is on tonight at 19:00 live on WA youtube. The pick of it is the women's 3k it'll have Lemelm Hailu world indoor champ from last year, Gatachew world outdoor steeple silver and rumourd to be 46XY DSD, Embaye world 1500m indoor gold last year and Dawit Seyaum world outdoor 5k Gold. Women's 60m is the other good showdown. Kambunje, Dina Asher Smith and Ewa Swaboda. Swaboda was in the news because on new years night a polish Athlete called Sebastian Uraniak tried to break into her Gaff (she was in a party in another city) and a third Polish international Jakub Krzewina was home, beat him sideways and broke his leg. Apparently Uraniak has history of being a bit of a creep. Over in the states on Friday night there is a meet in Boston University. Its notorious for being a fast track so All the On Athletics fellas are trying to hit 5k standard (13:07) but the race is the 3k. You have Yarad Naguse (NCAA 1500m champ 2020 and Olympian) Mario Garcia (NCAA 2021 champ and 4th in the world 1500m) against Louis Grijalva (4th world 5k). Saturday in NYC Sage Hurta and Ajee Wilson are going for the US 1km record. Wilson hasn't lost indoors in about 5 years and not in the armory in NYC in 10. Hurta was great last year and has been pumping the record for a while but now she has to race Wilson. The womens1500m looks good too. Katlyn Tuohy has been hyped for years and is kicking ass at NCAA level taking on a bunch of high level pros. Alicia Monson and Josette Norris. There'll be plenty on youtube by Sunday morning
