Brilliant performances by English, Tuthill and Adeleke today. Tomorrow should hopefully deliver two medals.

English hasn’t done much wrong all season - he doesn’t need it to be lightening quick as he has proved he can finish really strongly off very fast and fast pace, and if it is very fast he has the top time so it shouldn’t faze him.

Adeleke can hopefully replicate her start from tonight and then it could be interesting - probably doesn’t have the training and racing to win but def a medal shot now.

She’s got the two big guns immediately in her sights - be great to get that good start again and hoover up some of the yardage. Still, it’s a serious ask to be looking to be competitive in a Euro final after so little racing.

12 years on from his first European outdoor medal, he has 5 in total of the minor medals across indoors and outdoors at European level. Would be brilliant story if he can get that win tonight after such consistency over the years.

Marcus Lawlor was 5th in his heat. 20.94 into a -2.2

Decent enough show. Was about 3rd off the bend

he's 10/13 though with a heat to go so probably done for the day

Edit: Wind picked up for the last heat to -3.4
he scraped in 11th

Total face plant. looks like she tripped over her own legs or else got clipped by the other Swiss runner.

I'd say she'll be advanced because of who she is but 10 in the final isn't great (another girl was brought down who 100% should be advanced)

Chances of a Keely Gold went up.

Femke looked awesome again. If she can get in front between 400 and 500m she'll stay there

I'd be inclined to agree but the trend in officiating had been more lenient the last few years particularly towards named brand athletes.

was it last years 5000m or the year before was a complete joke when Kung Fu George Mills single handedly brought down about 8 fellas and they all got advanced.

Werro went down hard and was slow getting up. Keely in the driving seat now one way or the other
