The Official Athletics Thread

Sophie O’Sullivan is an interesting athlete, she doesn’t seem to have the endurance and strength as some others but she is a very dogged racer and even though the running style is a bit manic down the straight, not a lot get past her when she gets a run on them off a slower pace.

London DL on Saturday afternoon

I'm away so expect some cutting edge analysis from alla Ye

Josh Kerr Miller record attempt. He's posting from serious workouts on the YouTube but 3:43 is awfully fast and El Guerrouj's mark is as filthy as Kratochvilova's

Can Keely get ger groove back it wouldn't surprise me if Femke takes her down. This was supposed to be her WR attempt maybe 1:54 high/1:55 but no quicker I'd say

Mens 800m is the race for me

Sarah Healy in the 3000m too and it's a sell out so should be good all round

Think McPhillips is also running tonight, at the Contiental Tour meet in Budapest. Griggs in the 3k too.

Edit - Just checked - McPhillips is running alright. Sedjati too!

Ya massive kudos to English. Thought he was a lad a while back who was talented but not 100% committed but the last 2-3yrs in particular he has kicked on, maybe a few years too late but to be breaking PBs and records is mighty impressive and would be great if the two lads could round into form to challenge for medals at Euros.

Rinaldi must be the best coach in the business

Look at Josh Hoey went from being a no mark to indoor world champ in a year and back injured 6 months after leaving Rinaldi because the coach was preaching caution
