The Official Athletics Thread

What’s the story with Adeleke - it’s all gone very quiet.

Healy got a bit of a shock tonight in the 5000m, solid time but I’d say being so far off was a real shock. Back to the 1500m but she was injured for a bit so still solid chance of getting well into contention come Birmingham.

Great run by English.

Not a good sign. She's gone fierce quiet in the gram

She's normally good for a few training posts

McPhillips is even weirder - absolutely no word at all - ran a decent race to beat a good field over 600 in Boston, went to the dentist, and not a glimmer since. Surely being a funded athlete means you have to attempt to fulfill some definite fixtures?

English's race last night:

I know that up to last year he used to push harder to lead from further out and often got wiped, and that his fast times and big performances have come from the change in tactics to hang back and hoover up the knackered field as he delivers down the straight. But he so often ends up having to go around the field. Is there a hybrid for him? To start the windup even four or five metres closer to the front?
