Darragh McEllhenny just won a quality 1500 at the Trond Mohn Games in Norway

Finished like an absolute train in the last 100m and it was reasonably quick 3:38

The smackdown from you at the John Buckley 5.3 woke him up for sure Guapo (y)
All he needs is another 8.1 seconds off that for Bejing

Dacent closeout

Great to have a kick like that. Could come in very useful in Qualifying rounds. Thing is, he has to get somewhere near 3.30 first though.

As for Guapo, you targeting LA in the end, or what?

Here is his coach taking about how the famed swimming physiologist Jan Olbrecht
had him doing 200s to improve his vLAmax

Great to see him kicking at the sharp end of a race. The pattern for the last few years was the wheels coming off badly.

Didn't do you much good at John Buckley though did it Darragh?

Probably easier than sorting out your own ticket and accommodation TBPHWY.

Certainly cheaper

Nick Griggs and Cathal Doyle both opened up last night

M1500m at about 50mins.

Good to see Doyle back he's been injured, it shows here. Both were a bit leggy but it's a decent dust up of a race

Like most houses on this thread, our house is a sporting house – both as participants and consumers of a myriad of sports both on TV and in the stadium, from Olympics all the way to local. Like most sports fans, we take our sporting heroes seriously.

However, it appears I took the Femke Bol transition from 400mH to 800m in early 2026 a little too seriously – LOL, my birthday present from wifey arrived in the post today.

Not sure where we’re going to put her (she’s by the fridge for the moment), but safe to say she’s going to be a feature at Terrier Towers for a while.
