The Official Athletics Thread

Yeah,

Some very nasty stuff in the testimony.

Familial abuse aside all parties have been unbelievably pricks towards each other since. The brothers froze Gjert out of the Norwegian federation and treated Narve Nordas like shit because Gjert is his coach.

Gjert was been posting his delight when Jakob lost the 1500m on twitter

They still seem to have a relationship with the mother and live only a few doors way from the family home.

All the dirty laundry washed publicly. Why would you ever litigate

100%, the only people who win there are the lawyers .

Hi lads.

I was wondering if some of you experts could give me a bit of advice. My wife is suffering from Plantar fasciitis and we are looking for runners that could help her get around with less pain.

We are going to pop into The Edge and John Buckleys but if possible it would be great if I could get a few recomendations from you guys first. Thanks.

Plantar fasciitis is a balls.

Going to John Buckley is a good idea. She likely won't recover without some direct intervention though..

See a physio.

Do eccentric heel drops routinely (whatever she can do without pain)

She will need to Consider strength work, that could be as simple as heel raises and walking around on her tippy toes with some lunges but really, honestly get some advice from a physio

Thanks for that. She’s booked physio but she’s heading to England this week before appointment and is hoping to get something comfortable to wear that might help her get around.

Thanks again. She’ll try those heel drops. Another friend recommended rolling a tennis ball under the foot which she’s doing too.

Yeah that's good as well. Maybe something harder than a tennis ball. Like a sliotar if you have one.

A lot of it I'd getting blood flowing down there to speed up healing.

John McClean "fists with your toes" , all that stuff. it's very sore in fairness

Went to the two stores I mentioned. In fairness met a nice guy in the Edge who gave some good advice. Headed up to John Buckleys and they were fantastic.

They checked my wife’s arch and it was slightly low and recommended stabilty runners.

We took a look at look at some runners so will check reviews and decide which ones to get 👍
