I saw that. No mention of Male pacers or pope mobiles. yet anyway.

Jess Hull offered to pace Faith to a sub 8:00 3k last week so I presume that'll be the next up women's only thing. Which seems way more viable than 4:00

Sure it's only a bit of craic - more power to them giving it a go, it's not a real race.

If you look at Kipchoge's sub-2, even though it was done in artificial conditions, it does seem to have triggered a significant jump in elite marathon performances. Maybe a sub-4 woman would do the same at the sharp end of the women's 1500 and 3000.

LOL, I don't hear any of us objecting to wearing any of the the faster carbon shoes inspired by Nike's Vaporflys - we're all part of the show lads

I agree I think it's great she's having a cut.

Still remember shouting at the TV during one of the lockdowns for Kipchoge.

Even the original breaking 2 around Monza just confirmed that it was possible.

I don't think Faith will do it is the only thing.

Also if they do use male pacers it cuts differently I think. Those road 10ks and Marathons where the athlete gets a tow all the way to the finish leave me way colder than sub did did or Fath's sub 4 attempt does
