That's Matt Seddon, He's the oxford University coach. His Podcast is great4 lads on WR pace at 15km - there'll surely be a decent run-in here.
Interestingly, the commentator reckons they are going just too fast to take on and swallow fluids. NOt a problem I've encountered.
Here comes Kiplimo!
He held on, 63.13 finish. fair play he looked fuckedJakob cooked at 10k, went through with the pace 27:37 blowing hard and he pulled up
If he'd stayed on the other side he'd have been OK - albeit on the left side of the road, away from the two lads. I'd say the push to get back on from 17 to 19 is what finished himPity Kiplimo went the wrong way. it was set up for a box office finish, he did great to law his way back
Yep - Kiplimo and Sawe are the main men for this event - you could hardly pick two better operators over the distance ATM. Jakob is in short pants compared to them - I'd say he couldn't believe the feeling after 10k at 27:33 - "Jaysus, we're not even halfway!". However, he hinted strongly that this is where he will go in the coming years - maybe one more Olympic cycle on the track. He also said he'd be back in Copenhagen for the road chanmpionships next year - for one of the shorter distance races.Jakob finished?? Jesus, fair fux to him. I presumed when he stopped he was going home. And didn't get chicked either. Shows you the difference between a top 5k man and a top HM bloke.
