Very flattering I thought. I hope Sunderland can take the positives from it. They showed no fear whatsoever. Really hope they get to enjoy Europe.

One of our toughest away games in a long time.
0-2 is flattering but I do think we deserved the win. Our squad won it for us again.
Sunderland are such a well drilled and tough team. They’ll bully their way to plenty of points.

Oh I don’t know, as much as I like Xhaka I think Rice was a big step up. Possibly though, it’s hard to say.

And having Timber back is fucking class, he’s one hell of a player.
His determination is incredible.

Ye should really have got a world class striker this summer too. Because (and i will deny I ever said this, should you use it against me!), from 1 to 10 that's one deep squad packed with quality players ye have there.

Imagine if ye had a Shearer, a Rooney or an Henry up there. Havertz is alright, but he ain't in that class of player.

Funny, I saw a Newcastle page where they were delighted with the Bruno rocket and they kept referring to Sunderland as SMBs.

Now I don’t know the exact meaning but I’m praying it’s Stupid Mackem Bastards.

Seriously though, it is a serious squad with a fantastic age profile with mostly positive contract siultuations.

But yes, seriously lacking a top top striker unfortunately.
