And we definitely got the easier side of the draw. We’ve beaten some big teams in the group stages last two seasons and I know it’s now the same but we won’t be taken lightly.

I think we could get passed AM but definitely would be up against it in the final against Bayern or PSG.

This got me thinking about other Austrian players who have made an impact in the Premier League.

Paul Scharner has the most caps, and won the FA cup, while Arnautovic had a decent career with Stoke and West Ham. Andi Weimann looked like he was going to be a big star and then ended up playing for Bristol.

But I don't think any of them played for a club as big as Arsenal, and Manninger did it almost 40 times, and from a position when you're generally not getting subbed on for the last few minutes.

The Austrian Bundesliga is the league I pay most attention to, so this is awful news.

Very sad. RIP.
