The Official Arsenal Thread - Part 2

Yeah, I know we haven’t won it but two semis in a row is big for any prem club.

It is, but in the knock-out stages across the 2 seasons so far they've only beaten one team of note - Real Madrid.

You can only beat who is put in front of you of course, but they've benefitted from kind draws.

Even now, Atletico are a clear level below the two semi-finalists on the other side of the draw.

Need to get to the final now and try and end our awful European history.

They might make the final, but I'd be pessimistic about their chances of winning it...especially if PSG make the final.

Rice said on interview after the game last night that they want to go one better than last year, so he's not too bothered about winning it.

We got an advantage of second leg at home due to topping the group so that was worth achieving as it does help imo.
And we definitely got the easier side of the draw. We’ve beaten some big teams in the group stages last two seasons and I know it’s now the same but we won’t be taken lightly.

I think we could get passed AM but definitely would be up against it in the final against Bayern or PSG.
In a one off game though you always have a chance.
