He’s worth looking up on YouTube, he’s always had to play in teams way older than his age as it’s not even a competition when playing his own age.

He’s been compared to some crazy names by a lot of ex senior players. I don’t like to do that but every time I see him it gets harder not to get carried away. He’s a serious talent.

He was sensational in pre season, earning Arsenal penalties as defenders couldn’t get the ball off him without fouling him.

I’ve watched that goal about 100 times since yesterday from different angles, header at full speed, brushed off some blue Scouse bastard off the ball and sent another one to the cleaners with that right foot right foot dribble…the way he glides past players reminds me of a certain Argie who played for Barca…

I hate myself for comparing him to Leo but there are serious similarities in terms of ball control and movement, it’s impossible to ignore.

Like Mikel said last night, that’s not normal for a 16 year old to do this on such a big stage.

Yeah, nothing about Dowman so far seems normal.

There’s a video where he scores a really similar goal to a famous Messi one. There’s definitely a similar style.
Max will end up getting a good bit taller so will be interesting to see if that affects his style.
