The Official Arsenal Thread - Part 2

He was overall a disappointing signing , very good on his day but Club decided not to pay an injury prone midfielder in his 30s over 200g a week.

I'd imagine a demotion was on the cards for him too. One of those what if players plagued by injury.
By all accounts he was looking for a raise , already on big wages , the club wanted to hold onto him but on a lesser contract. Considering he misses half of every season I can't say I'm that disappointed but best of luck to him.

I'd give him one on a strictly play for pay deal. Otherwise there's nothing to negotiate. I know you weren't xhakas biggest fan but his fitness was immense and I'd argue he's contributed more to arsenal than Partey has.

Ahh xhaka 😀 4 shit years years followed by 2 decent years . You will like norgaard he has a feel of the xhaka about him 😉

Partey charged.

Bizzare that Arsenal continued to pay and play him when dogs on the street knew what was going on!
Serious loss of credibility and integrity at that club. You could probably someway understand swimming against the tide for the two CBs, captain or #7. Not even going to name them in this hypothetical situation. But to do it for a player like Partey that there's ten a penny of, was seriously odd.
