The Official Arsenal Thread - Part 2

In fairness it looks.like he won't have a choice. Should have bought a center forward but didn't. Sometimes I feel he thinks he's smarter then he actually is and tries to prove a point to the media and fans that he can be very tacticly shrew with his starting 11 but football is a simple game . Just play the right players in the right positions and that's that ?

To be fair the indications were that he wanted a new striker in the door in Jan but it didn't happen. A bid was placed for Watkins, but it felt a bit low-ball @ £40m plus add-ons.

Arteta has spent a nice chunk of dough and, so far, he has a terrible success rate with his signings towards the more attacking end of the pitch. He needs to get the next one right and all things considered (incl. PSR) it might be the right call from the club to wait until the summer to get the right guy.

For this season, Nwaneri looks a hell of a prospect - but it'd be high risk to load a lot of games on him at such a young age. Once you get a glut of injuries in one part of the pitch it can lead to others as those still around get overloaded.

Trossard looked a fine addition but has really gone off the ball this season. He needs to step up.

still cant figure out the 65mill he spent on kai havertz but he did see him as a midfield link up player and not as a num 9 but he didnt have a choice when jesus was always out injured but to play him up front , arteta is definitly of the defend first school and has bought well at the back and middle, up front is another story but by all accounts that will be fixed this summer and while injuries are part of the game you cant really plan for 4 of your front players all being out at the same time.

Any Liverpool fans watching that first half will be laughing their heads off at the team supposed to be chasing them and who in reality can't afford to drop.points. absolutely brutal.

Sorry your bet lost philby . It was a good shout though since I really could only see a goal coming from a set peice if there was going to be one.

Hopefully that puts the trossard in the middle supported by sterling to bed now . Young ethan nwaneri man of the match by a long shot. Also Thought rice had a fine game as well and ran the midfield. Overall a far better second half performance then the dross served up first 45. 15 games unbeaten but the reality is we really need Liverpool to fuck up which is a hard ask
