Dirty Bertie (who you never tired of telling us you'd vote for by the way) was caught neck-deep in corruption and he lied to the Tribunal. Even Haughy (another crook) described Ahern as the most cunning and devious of them all. Are you saying that Paul Murphy has done similar or worse? Why are you so reluctant to tell us what he did that is so evidently bad?

The tribunal did not issue any findings of corruption against Bertie.

So he’s just as innocent or guilty as Murphy.

He's far worse than Murphy, and yet you keep telling us that you'd vote for Bertie Ahern.

Now are you going to tell us what it was that Murphy did (or didn't do) that makes him a scumbag and/or a lowlife. The absence so far of any accusation of action (or inaction) never mind evidence of it, would indicate that you're just letting your emotions run away with you again and you're making unfounded derogatory accusations against someone merely because he's of a different political outlook to you.

He lied about where he got payments while in high-office. Do you really buy the "dig outs" line Cranky. He was cunning, devious, and corrupt (not that it would dissuade you from voting for him mind)

That’s not what’s on discussion here. He wasn’t found to be corrupt so is innocent of corruption. The same as Paul Murphy was found not guilty of false imprisonment so he is innocent.

You can pick around the obvious, or dance away on semantics and technicalities if you like, but the dogs on the street know the score with Bertie. MM knows the score with Bertie and unlike you he wont let the guy anywhere near the controls again because he knows better. You have all of the information you need, that tells you everything you need to know, and its all right in front of you. You have chosen for some bizarre reason to shoot down the road of obfuscation instead

If you had gained, or stood to gain from the fella i might at least see the reason you'd try your hand, but surely no right thinking person with decent morals could stomach that corrupt bollox?
