The Next Uachtarán na hÉireann

It’s comical the amount of people who shill here for FFG and pretend they don’t vote for either of them. All the while making contrarian points about other parties and sneering at people who have the courage of their convictions and are very up front about who they vote for and why.

Cranky and I won’t see eye to eye on much but at least he admits to being a FF member and I think KolaKubes said he is Labour.

And the shills love to pretend it’s the others are indulging in footballification of politics but not them.

To extend their football analogy those shills here are like guys who don’t wear their football colours but sneakily attack fans of the other teams who do from behind.

And their main catchcry is “Don’t let the other lot in because they’ll definitely make a balls of it” conveniently ignoring the utter balls the mob they’ve been shilling for have made of it.

We can see you Jimmy.
I think you are forgetting that a lot of people don’t support a party but have opinions on politics. I don’t support any party, wouldn’t see the point in it

No problem at all with people who don’t support any party. Plenty of floating voters out there and good luck to them. They’ll vote for one party one election and another the next depending on policies or what they think would be best. I’ve voted for candidates and referenda outside what my party put forward myself - that’s politics and no party is 100% right.

The guys I was having a go at are the sleeveens who deride others for supporting a party, pretending they’d never be so “narrow minded” themselves as to indulge in “footballification” (they even made up a derisory word for it) of politics but are just as ardent supporters of a party themselves.

The kind of guys who come on here and continually have sly wee digs at a party but pretend that they’ve no political affiliation themselves, when they very clearly have. One even outed himself here recently despite for years refusing to admit he’s always voted FF, as well as not understanding Proportional Representation 🤣

And you’d have to ask yourself why they do that. What is it about what the party they back does that they can’t hold their hand up and admit they support that party (someone must) instead of pretending to support another or to always be a floating voter?

And it isn’t just occasional - it seems to be their mission in life here 😂

Interesting conversation with Mary Regan on Brendan O’Connor earlier about the sensitivity and offence Connolly’s camp is taking to very legitimate questions.

Hardly surprising when you’ve the likes of Paul Murphy, SF and the SDs running the show.

Could you imagine 'keepie uppies' being in the nice to have section of a job advertisement.

The media is really talking to and treating the electorate like we're smallies and mentally lacking.

Terrible state of affairs.
