Question is was this decision made out of high principle or were they scared of how Boyd Barrett et al would react?

A very pertinent point and it raises the question which you may wish to answer: if there was no non-Israeli system compatible with this particular jet, was it the right decision not to include this safety equipment because it was Israeli?
