Any chance you'd answer the question regarding your "let's build more infrastructure for rather than clamp down on e-scooters" type BS boppy, or will you just do your usual:
Post Inane drivel, get called on it, refuse to answer questions on your suggestions, deflect and go to another thread where you post inane drivel. Rinse and repeat.
Oh I’ve learned long ago not to indulge you when you ask these ridiculous questions. You’re not a serious poster and I respond accordingly.

Ridiculous questions????

You came out with the notion that instead of applying the laws of the land to e-scooters, which have been shown to be extremely dangerous, that we should instead pander to those who use e-scooters and build them more infrastructure but you refuse to say where, or how much we should invest in it. And yet you've the complete brass neck to suggest it's the questions about your suggestion are what's ridiculous.

Your lack of self-awareness is astounding boppy, it really is.

Go to any European city and you’ll see them everywhere. You’ll even be able to hire one on the street using an app. But as usual we throw the baby out with the bath water instead of actually enforcing the laws we have now.

Children were being injured from using them when they are already banned for U16s. And what was our answer? Ban them for U18s and require them to have licence plates. We can’t even enforce the laws we have now never mind new ones. The GRA were not enthusiastic about this yesterday.

Are there age restrictions on the hiring of e-scooters?

Are special dispensations given to tourists that relax such restrictions?

Are they speed limited?

Must you wear a helmet?

Hadn't heard about the imposition of License Plates on e-scooters. Great to hear if that's going to happen. I think that would dramatically improve behaviour on them if they were instantly traceable the way other motorised vehicles (apart from ebikes) are.

And as someone who has a bike I'd have no problem at all regarding bicycles having to have a License Plate and be traceable. It would have people Cop-the-f**k On on the roads - something alas a lot of cyclists currently can't be trusted to do 😔

Hiring the e-scooters in Germany anyway can only be done by 18+ however anyone 14 or older can ride them if they own one.

There are so many regulations we have now that are not being enforced that we could start by enforcing. I’m all for registering them and controlling who can buy and for what purpose. Parents should stop buying them for their children. That would resolve most of this issue.

It tends to be migrants who use escooters to commute, most use them responsibly, an outright ban will seriously inconvenience them, all because gardai are incapable of dealing with rogue escooter users.

I see migrant women who work as home help making house visits using escooters, they're now going to be criminalised when a full ban comes in and no politician will speak up for them.

Slippery slope having Cranky sniffing around your bottom m8.

Before you know it, you'll be Matlock.

🙃

The crew cab version would double up as a work and transport vehicle and also suitable for family as it has five seats unlike three in a van. Multi use. Saves on having second vehicle
Not really, they may have a use for agri contractors who need off road capabilities but a van is far more practical for the majority of tradesmen.

Take a tip from a pro and stay in your lane in future. 🚚 🚙 🚗

So you don’t know what having two extra seats in a vehicle means to a contractor/tradesman. You should have said, I would have a drawn a picture for you.

Any form of transport that isn't a car is suspect to the likes of Yermon, he reminds me of the fella on here who used to post pics of empty cycle lanes in town to make a "point".

They're not serious people.
