SF along with all the parties signed up to Slainte Care

The Govt presumably through its legal advisor the Attorney General’s Dept formulated the appropriate contracts

Many of the consultants signed up to said contracts

But for more than two years the greedy consultants had 240K+ contracts AND did private work in publicly funded hospital.

Govt said in 2024 that was against rules of contract.

Sept 2024 Rotunda decided Govt was wrong and their consultants would carry on

Govt continued to finance (think it said on show) their 90% support of Rotunda

Insurance companies alert Dept that private practice still going on with “Public Only” consultants

June 2026 Minister for Health says Rotunda is wrong. Rotunda says according to legal advice they are right.

Both can’t be true yet the much cited Attorney General - a Govt appointee - seems very quiet so far on the topic.

If consultants are in the wrong they should be sued for breach of contract and the monies recouped
If the consultants are right then the Attorney General, or whoever it was that drafted huge contracts not worth the paper they were written on should be sacked and new cast-iron contracts put in place so that the consultants stop taking the piss.

And this should be done as a matter of urgency rather than have the exchequer bleeding millions each yearr and totally undermining Slainte Care!

All of this is true, Soundy, but irrelevant to the point. Your lot signed up to this, just like everyone else. So do you support the government in them attempting to resolve this?

It’s clearly very much on topic, but you don’t like when the ineptitude of your party and their appointees are shown in full glare.

That you think that the Government are in any way responsible for consultants breaking the terms of a contract says everything about SF.
