The next Government

Who will form the next government

  • Total voters
    56
  • Poll closed .
there's been €500,000 gambled on him to take the seat.

I hope the returning officer and his or her family have the good sense to stay at home for the next few weeks

Could be a self-fulfilling prophesy like the election of Bernie Murphie back in the day. If enough people bet on the monk, and it becomes worth their while to vote for him, then he could get sufficient votes. Thankfully it'll be a secret ballot but he could give it a close run.

Would it be better, worse, or much the same as people in Tipperary continuously voting for Michael Lowry

This is a much bigger sleaze story than that poor fool of a man who happened to get a bonus at work paid in Shares.

I swear to gawd what was once a promising centre left alternative led Catherine Murphy and Roisin Shorthall has become a fucking carnival and if Labour can't win back a chunk of 'Socially Democratic' voters (the theory not the party) they may as well roll up the tent too

The broadsheets and RTE should be all over this. This involves an elected representative of one of the main dail parties and a leading by-election candidate of the same party upto their necks in multimillion IPAS contracts.

Its pretty pathetic that they are so far ignoring what should be a huge scandal.

So the three front-runners in the polls all had associations with criminals.
SF candidate former running partner is a criminal
SD candidate's former business partner is a criminal
Independent candidate Hutch..... well you know the rest

Dubs eh!
Am I seeing things ?
You critising someone in the organisation you defend here always.
