The next Government

Who will form the next government

  • Total voters
    56
  • Poll closed .
I'm not on TikTok or Facebook or Insta or Snapchat or any of the rest of them (apart from X), but Paudie O'Sullivan has won the TD Hide and Seek Champion medal the last 5 years running. Other than being a FF candidate which will almost always attract around 10-20% of the vote he's had nothing to say for himself and does nothing apart from warm a backbench seat.

Putting his head over the parapet might just be either a "Will someone PLEASE notice me" type cry for help, or he at long last is sick and tired of being told "sit there and shut up" by Micheal Martin and is turning over a new leaf. Hopefully the latter
I’m not so sure about that. I know both himself and Colm Burke have been a big help to Dillons whenever we’ve asked them for assistance.

I know. Unlike some other TDs in the constituency he doesn’t seem to have much interest in TikTok. Not defending him btw but he isn’t so social media savvy as others.

Excellent constituency TD by all accounts. Unlike his colleagie in Cork East (O' Connor) who loves being the centre of attention but is red useless when it comes to actually getting anything done. Won a by election in 2019 which was some achievement for FF in North Central. Topped the poll at last electyion too.

James O’Connor is all talk. Have had some dealings with his office and not impressed at all.

I’d reckon there are plentyTD’s within FF that are told stay quiet and go about your daily stuff by the Mehole. There’ll be fierce stories come out someday when he’s gone. He runs the show with an iron fist.

All local politicians will use their "Ward Fund" or some such for what they deem worthy causes in their constituency Dougal, and GAA clubs tend to be high in the pecking order in that regard, it's basically putting back public monies into the constituency from which it was levied in the first place. I wouldn't let that kind of stuff blind me to their actual work or lack of it tbh. I never had time for Noel O'Flynn but he used sponsor a very successful Glen Rovers team back in the day. I still wouldn't vote for him.

Ward funds are given by Cllrs not TDs Soundy.

I was talking about assistance not financial support.
