Huge protests?"Taoiseach Micheál Martin is widely expected to issue an invitation to Donald Trump to visit Ireland later this year during his visit to the White House, despite the US president’s war in Iran. There is already a “standing invitation” and senior government sources expect this to be voiced during the Oval Office encounter.
In an interview with the Sunday Independent last month, the Taoiseach said he would have “no issue” with Mr Trump addressing the Dáil. He said Trump is the democratically elected president of the US and even if people disagreed with him, “generally in democracies we don’t get embroiled in who wins and election”.

This would be a very unwise move, by next September Trump will be an even more hated man than he is now and there will be huge protests if he dares to set foot on Irish soil.
