I often hear it asked what has Micheál Martin ever done for Cork. Well as Taoiseach he has lent his time very generously to sports clubs in Cork. He was at the Glen Boxing and Brian Dillons GAA clubs this morning. It was great to meet him again.

It was also great to have nice chats with Billy Kelleher, Margaret Mc Donnell and Colm Burke. Boppy only moves in influential circles.

Phil Hogan nominated for a top job at the UN by the Irish Government. I genuinely can’t understand how this guy keeps getting nominated to plum posts.

He’s our Peter Mandleson. Not suggesting any illegal activity but his ability to draw controversy on himself and others is impressive to say the least.
