Morning Ireland had two interesting interviewees this morning. First was a member of the Irish Institute of Engineers
who pointed out that the Government's commitment to zero carbon energy by 2050 was impossible on current technology. He said it was illogical to commit and draft legislation to have us sign up to something that we've no way of knowing at the moment if it's even achievable.
Then they had someone who used be the Chair of Cluid Housing Agency. Not alone did the FFG Government fail to achieve their own housing targets again in 2024, they will fail to achieve them in 2025, and most likely fail to meet them in 2026 as well.
But don't worry lads, in the build up to the next election FFG will again promise the sun, moon, and stars, and ye can all lap it up again and blame the opposition for pointing out the false promises and ridiculous commitments.
