The Munster Rugby Thread 24/25

Ww are close to full strength

It'll be very close

Their bench might swing it
Their bench isn't all that. The two Byrne lads? Don't make me laugh.

If you compare it by unit:
Front row: advantage Leinster
Second row: even
Back row: advantage Leinster
Half backs: even
Midfield: Even
Back three: Leinster shades it, just about

The back row match up wins it for Leinster, but if it's even with 30 minutes to go, our bench is better, imo.

Leinster: H Keenan; L Turner; G Ringrose, J Osborne; J Lowe; C Frawley, Jamison Gibson-Park; A Porter, L Barron, T Furlong; RG Snyman, J Ryan; J Conan, J van der Flier, C Doris (capt.)

Reps: G McCarthy, C Healy, T Clarkson, R Baird, M Deegan, L McGrath, R Byrne, H Byrne

I think you are giving Munster way too much credit considering the 4 players we are missing from the 23 that I mentioned in an earlier post.

The two Leinster props are light years ahead of ours. Even an inexperienced Hooker like Barron is a better player than Scannell who is stealing a living

Second Row is close but Leinster shade it for me

Back Row is Leinster all day long. Hodnett may gets caps in the future but JOD and Coombes are just not at the level of Conan and especially Doris

JGP is well ahead of Casey and Crowley is better than Frawley so i'd agree with it being even here but Leinster pack could be so dominant that anyone could look good for the at half back

While Nankivell and Farrell are a decent midfield pairing i think Ringrose and Osborne are better players

Back 3 is clearly Leinster for me too

All in all im my opinion only Beirne, Hodnett, Casey, Crowley, Nankivell & Nash would be anywhere near a Leinster matchday squad

Hope I'm wrong and we stuff them but that's wishful thinking!

The bookies giving the ladies 14pts is a bit generous but it's hard to see Munster causing an upset. A LBP for Munster sounds about right to me.
Should be a good occasion though.
How many tickets have been shifted?
