Interesting pair of teams.
No Casey, Loughman, Ahern, Beirne or Daly. Casey only played a few mins, Loughman 20 mins over the summer, Beirne needs the break, but not sure about Daly and Ahern...
Nash, Farrell, Quinn and Edogbo are reported as injured but back soon-ish.

I have never been so pessimistic about Munster at the start of a season, like now.

I'm holding my judgement. There's a good few players there that we don't really know how they're going to go. The Woods, O'Shea, Brookes, Gilvarry, Aungier. A few others like Kilgallen, van der Merwe, Harrison could make a big difference if they stay fit.

Then there's the players that we know are good, but have not been hitting previous heights, Coombes, Hodnett, Daly, Nash.

There's enough raw material to have a good team with better coaching. Let's see how they turn out.

Reading between the lines, Crowley's injury sounds like a very, very serious one. They’re obviously not giving much away, but “lower limb vascular injury”, specialists and being ruled out until the new year is about as far from a routine rugby injury as you can get.

Yeah, especially with something where they've been unclear for quite a good few months how long he's going to be out for.
