I've booked Bristol (in the vain hope Aer Lingus won't act like wankers again) but not sure yet on UBB, the prospect of a bad day out and getting there, is probably off-putting.

That aer lingus Cork to Bristol flight can be a precarious bastard of a thing. They like to cancel that randomly if it suits them. I'm based in South Wales and have fallen victim to it a few times. My wife the same. If you can bear it, Dublin Cardiff with scumair usually cheap. Bristol less than 45 min by train from Cardiff Central.

I completely get what you're saying, but I hate the trek to Dublin if I can help it. Aer Lingus went further last year by bumping us off the flight to Bristol so they could sell our seats for a 1000 euro more, the bastards. I'm not expecting much from them this time either.

I agree with your post. The old days of antipathy from the likes of Denis Conroy are gone, GAA grounds are open (pending central council approval) and these are just business decisions.
