Cardiff host 2nd place Stormers, and if Cardiff lose without a bonus point, we would definitely be through.
At the same time Ahlster host Glasgow, but it's the week before Bilbao, so do they rest players when it's possible they could finish 9th in the URC and lose out on CC next season ?
At least we will know what we need to qualify, and potentially avoid going in the QF, as we play on Saturday night.

Claiming it's not is just ignoring reality.

I think this genuinely blindsided Munster, didn't think this would come up, that there was nothing to the story and I can understand why. But it has. Ignoring the media and resulting implications for sponsor, support and the overall reputation would be reckless.

This wasnt a story till the 3 lads resigned and 'someone' leaked the details to temu Woodward and Bernstein. whoever was behind it wanted to cause maximum damage to munster rugby. cowards not prepared to go on the record.

I feel sorry for Byrne. He's not that bad. He's not international class, that's for sure, but he didn't pick himself for Ireland. He's a very good kicker and he can organise multi-phase attack, even if he is no threat himself. I'd have preferred him over JJ this season.

I'd have backed Dick Byrne over JJ to be fair.

Even with a losing BP, Cardiff are unlikely to pass us. If level, it goes to matches won and then to pts difference.
We'd both be on 10 wins so they would need to gain 38 pts on us. Very unlikely.

If 6 to 9 all lose then we stay in 6th and we prob go to Bulls for QF.

JOD was superb and I can see him, Crowley, Hodnett, Nanks and Gleeson lead the charge for us.

These lads will leave everything out there and I think they will inspire the others.

I forgot to include JOD in my XV. He'll start and I'd see Fineen drop to the bench.


There's too much at stake here. I expect a huge improvement
