The Munster Rugby Thread 24/25

Some woman started a poll in the Facebook Munster fan group but she deleted it after a while, it was all lads having a go at her and telling to cop on and let him live his life.

Even if he was someone who had been convicted of something and served jail time, should people not be allowed move on with their life once they've taken their punishment?

That poor fella Paddy Jackson like. Found not guilty of any crime, but targeted wherever he went after.

There was almost more outrage over the WhatsApp chats after a while than the incident itself. In which Jackson himself didn't say much.

That's a sad case for either him or her. Fuck Olding though, he did not come out of that at all well in any aspect.

yup. the irfu set a dreadful precedent on that one. you can be found innocent in a court of law but still be dismissed from your employment on the basis of people shrieking the loudest on twitter. randle is an innocent man, not convicted of any crime. oconnor and treacy are two lowlifes who set off an online pile on the guy. they've kept the hit pieces coming for over a week. if i were the powers that be at munster id blacklist both of them. no interviews, no press passes for thomond, musgrave, the lot. pair of pricks. and theyre at it with years.

Thing is, bar for a conviction in criminal law is very high, you can't just make decisions based on the balance of probability.

It's different in an employment situation.

Put it this way, Kier Starmer is possibly going to lose his job for employing someone with suspicions around him but zero convictions...

randle has no conviction. hes an innocent man. treacy and oconor dug up a 29 year old sa newspaper article and set a pile on in motion. the indo is a rag and those two are the worst sort of bottom feeder.
How certain are you he's an innocent man?
I don't think anyone commenting on this knows. I have some sympathy, have had a completely false accusation in the past, but on the other hand, well over 90% of sexual assaults globally do not get prosecuted, not to mind convicted. Can't prove anything for certain now and shit sticks.

It's just the nature of the press unfortunately.

The Starmer situation is exactly analogous. Has he himself actually done anything illegal? No, but he's exercises poor judgement in appointing someone whose past could well blow up in his face. And it did...

Plenty other coaches out there he could have appointed.

rubbish. hes innocent because that is what he is, an innocent man convicted of no crime .your hunch or thoughts on accusations in general is 100% irrelevant as is your other nonsense about english politics.
