The Munster Rugby Thread 24/25

You know the difference between an International rugby match and a Munster game?
By the way...
  • Ireland v Argentina - tickets priced from €32.50 (Restricted Cat 4) to €140 (Premium) Concessions available for schoolboys/girls.
You are always very quick to have a go lad :ROFLMAO:

Take it handy now and don't let our debate about men in women's sports make you angry over here too. Clean slate kid, we can have a nice civilized chat here if you are capable of it.

You disputed that rugby was more expensive to follow than GAA. Aside from a full price AI ticket for kids the GAA is very reasonable.

Kids go in to Munster hurling championship games for a fiver and free to league games. Incredible value.

You seem to have a major bee in your bonnet about the rugger m8.

Chill the beans. Milly's crankiness seems to be rubbing off on you.

Not sure where you are getting that from, didn't I just say Cork footballers are in a much worse state support wise.

For the record I frequently go to Munster games also Cork hurling and football games and the occasional Cork City game. I enjoy most sports. I think it is brilliant how we support our own in rugby unlike soccer. IRFU did an outstanding job at the start of the professional era. It is important to keep the crowds coming. Pointing out a few facts that show the league doesn't catch the imagination isn't anti rugby of Munster.

Not at all, you post bullshit and you will get called on it. Simples.

That was a debate, lmfao.
Clearly it rattled you to your core that you brought it up on an irrelevant thread.

Defending URC champions though having not won a trophy in years and we get a combined 34k for a home quarter and semi final? That is very poor. If Cork did win the AI last year they'd sell out nearly every game the following year defending it, including round robin games.

I had 4 - 10 yr tickets when TP was redeveloped.
I dropped to 2 currently but it's a pain in the hole driving to Limerick and there is zero traffic management around TP, after a game. It's a scourge driving to East Cork after a 5.30 game and especially after 8pm KO.

I was really disappointed that we couldn't sell out for a home QF & SF last season.

The support from Limerick has really dropped off IMO maybe partly due to success in hurling ?

Costello rules himself out:

ROG rules himself out but also says it should be Prendergast:

Have heard two different rumours, one last week that Prendergast had informally agreed the job, but wanted rid of S&C. The article today in the 42.ie re Andy K departing also refers to that.

Now I have heard that they are also talking to someone in France, NOT ROG, thought to be Lancaster. Is it beyond the realm of possibility that Stuart has decided he preferred the type of gig he had in Leinster, and is willing to do the same here, with Prendergast as the face of the setup?

More change for Munster with forwards coach Kyriacou set to leave https://the42.ie/6550088

I think it's hard for anyone to argue that Kyriacou has done a great job

Hard for anyone to do a good job with some many issues in the tight 5 but even the maul has become a mess.

Still got a feeling he's a bit of a scapegoat.

I wonder is it James Coughlan they're talking to. Lancaster hasn't wowed in Paris, that's for sure.

That's why I'm thinking he might be better suited to the senior coach role.
