The Munster Rugby Thread 24/25

Toulon were absolute crap
Munster showed dog, but are a team made up of average players.
I thought leading up to this game that Toulon would show Munster up, they didn't.
Munster did much better than I thought

So that is the reality and that is why Munster rugby are having a big evening in Rochestown Park in April to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their first win in Europe.

Obviously they know, it is a long long time, if ever, that it will happen again
They are having a 20 year celebration because its been 20 years

I don't mind the Beirne yellow, he constantly plays on the edge and I thought it was harsh.

Crowley's absolutely shite cross field kicks from the 22 straight into touch to a winger that was really well covered was the most infuriating play of the game to me. Closely followed by the lineout from 1994 that went badly wrong.

The one where Barron threw it in while the lads were still walking towards it?

I think that might even have been another one, he basically chucked it in to No. 2 while on the ground.

There was one where I swear they took over a minute to throw in, was surprised a free kick against them. There was a mini conference beforehand, the sort of thing that's not supposed to be allowed any more.

The scrum was good in fairness.

It is actually a pretty decent result, coming home with a point from France can make a world of difference, especially when you deny the opposition a winning bonus point

Wow, well done you 👏

I wonder if Munster were an excellent side and winning every 3 years, would they bother?
🤣ah look it was a bit tongue in cheek .
I think yes they would mark it even if they were winning, that win in 2006 was in ways the holy grail reached for Munster. How many near defeats had they suffered. Best day ive ever had at a Munster game , 2006 was a day to remember and it should be.
