The Munster Rugby Thread 24/25

A horrible mess.

I'd forgotten about how angry watching Munster "attacking" makes me.
They still lose all shape after one phase or strike play.
At the end there JOD did a simple pick and go from the scrum and the line was flat with 6 players standing within 2 feet of the ruck.

McMillan is being properly hamstrung by Leamy and Prendergast's contract extension.

He should have wiped the slate clean and brought in his own like Rassie did.

It takes a special shitness to be outfought and bullied by an Edinburgh tea for two home games in a row.

Very frustrating alright.

That said, that was a long way from a full strength team. Missing Crowley, Casey, Beirne, Daly, Ahern, Hodnett, they're short of all their major international stars and 6 of their strongest starting 15.

That was close to the strongest Edinburgh team, number of really strong internationals.

Munster didn't help themselves but getting 5 points is great. Should have been more with the yellows but on paper, that was a stronger Edinburgh team.

I actually feel sorry for McMillan, the guy has his work cut out.
That news during the week that Ian Flanagan told him he can buy whatever players he wants in, as Munster have the funds, is absolutely crap, because we all know the IRFU will not allow it.

The vast majority of our players are AIL standard now, they have regressed in the last few years.
Having a weak and failed coaching team is obviously not going to bring those players on and as you said McMillan is indeed hamstrung.

The line out is an ongoing issue, what do they do, extend that coaches contract as well.

It seems bluffers are being rewarded for not doing their jobs well.

Very easy for Flanagan to say stuff like that knowing full well it's not going to happen. Pure chancer stuff.

Is Ben o Connor any way near that team He is surely old and developed enough to be a regular starter or is he not going to have a professional career
