The Munster Rugby Thread 24/25

By my calculations, if Stormers beat Benetton without a bonus point and Connacht beat Edinburgh, the only thing standing between Munster and the playoffs would be a 4 try win by Benetton at home without getting a losing bonus point..

I think if that were to happen, Munster would deserve not to be in the ERC next season.
I'm feeling like getting dropped over to Musser next Friday evening....

You mean Glasgow to beat Benetton.
It's in Treviso and Glasgow are going badly with lots of injuries but could win.

We will get 5 pts against Treviso, in any event.

We'll finish 6th but very hard to call 7th and 8th.

Glasgow go to Dublin next week and after the last shit show, I can't see them get anything. Miley Byrne will demand a performance.

I'll go :- Leinster : Bulls : Sharks : Glasgow : Stormers : Munster : Edinburgh : Cardiff

We go to Sharks. We'll win that and beat Leinster in the final in the Aviva maybe Croker. 16/1 PP - Pile on.

Oh Yes and Barrett starts for Bottlers and Cork (Jordi & Shane)

There's plenty players who will be future club legends when they retire, Beirne , Gavin Coombes, Casey, Crowley, Daly, Nash, Beirne, Ahern.

Bonus point win, can't be unhappy with that.

The proper farewell for Pete and Archer next Friday night under the lights in Muzzers
Fair enough.
All I am hearing in the media is emotion, is that what Munster need their players to be, to put in a proper effort to win a game now against what was, let's be honest, a weak side.
Here we are all happy they won and fair enough lads retiring etc.
But feck it, here we are wondering will we still qualify in the bloody league for next seasons champion Cup.
I hope things vastly improve next season under that new coach because I have to say, Munster are now in the pits and have been for a while.

It can't be going unnoticed (well with those running Munster Rugby anything is possible !) that there are a lot of disgruntled long time supporters considering their position re renewing. I have been expecting an intervention by the IRFU, the ultimate owners of Munster Rugby, for the last few years but nothing has happened. Perhaps now that Leinster appear to be falling short, alarm bells might finally be ringing.
